So far, Zaheer Khan and Dinesh Mongia were the sole representatives from the Indian side in the Counties. The former in Worcestershire and the latter for Leicestershire. Anil Kumble was supposed to play for Sussex but hasnt played any match so far.

Zaheer Khan played against Somerset, getting 4-100 in the first and 6-40 in the second. English Vice-captain Trescothick was one of the victims of Zaheer in the first innings. Andy Caddick starred for Somerset, taking 9 wickets while winning the match for Somerset. Khan scored a duck in the first innings but remained not out with 30 (off 32 balls) in the second. In his debut match in the Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy, Zaheer Khan took 3-26 in the innings, taking the wickets among others Chris Cairns, Ryan Sidebottom. He didnt bat when his side scored the runs successfully.

Dinesh Mongia did well in his first match in the C&G Trophy against Lancashire, taking 4-25 (Stuart Law, Dominic Cork being 2 of his victims) in 7 overs. But, Leicestershire lost by 70 runs while chasing the Lancs score, Mongia contributing just 22. In the League match though, Mongia scored 4 and 15 only while bowling 3 overs in the first innings for 23 runs.
