18th chase - so close, yet so far

The Indian chase had to stop and what better way to do it - a 1 run win by the Windies!!!!

Yuvraj was really unlucky to have appeared on the losing side - from the morning his throws had been missing the stumps and while chasing, his gallant innings had to fall with the target 1 run away!!! It was that kind of a day for Yuvi. But, it showed his maturity to farm the tail and get to the target from 134-7. Raina did a good job to partner him but showed the little bit of immaturity to throw away the good job.

Well done Ramesh Powar also, but if you could have just awaited that bit longer, instead of going for that ugly hoick - the result would have been different.

Bravo - What a ball to bowl at such a crucial time. That must be really genius stuff.

Carlton Baugh - I am sure this batsmen can offer more if he comes out opening the innings with Gayle. He is too good to be wasted at 7-8 down.

Dwayne Smith - How come he remains on the field for the entire duration of the Indian innings?

Marlon Samuels - Is someone checking his bowling action? Dont think so.

Ajit Agarkar - What an inspired bowling session first up - 7-4-5-1 is something you hardly associate him with.

Billy Doctrove - What were you thinking after leaving the field without informing anyone? Crazy Umpire.

Munaf Patel - You still have a long way to go to learn the tricks of ODI. Time for Sreesanth to come back to the XI. Pathan also in the slog overs seems to lose his bearings as Sarwan showed when he hit Pathan for 16 runs in an over.
